- This is Riviera Cornwall with its hint of the Mediterranean where spring comes early and autumn lingers late giving Cornwall the highest mean temperature in the U.K. Palm trees and pine woods, old English oak and elegant beech trees together with dazzling hanging baskets and flower displays won the park the St. Austell in Bloom trophy for several years.
The fabulous Eden Project just 2 and a half miles away and advance tickets are available at the Park reception. The Carlyon Bay Caravan and Camping Park is an ideal base from which to enjoy all the delights of the surrounding area, but the park also caters for its guests with on-site attractions.
There are exciting children's playgrounds and kiddies' corner for the younger ones while older youngsters can divert themselves in the swimming pool or with table tennis, pool, badminton, crazy golf, volleyball or recreation and television room.
Less than a 10 minute walk away, the local beach now has improved stepped access. The steps have been made even, are well lit and have handrails. The Coliseum complex at the back of the beach has been fenced off, so upon entering the beach via the new steps you will be guided past the complex along a well defined path to the sands.
