Baltic Wharf Caravan Club Site
- Description
- A waterside site, right in the heart of Bristol's beautifully re-developed dockland, linked in the summer by a river ferry to the city centre, with its lively shops and entertainments. The Industrial Museum houses the first purpose built caravan, The Wanderer, built in 1880 for The Club's eventual first vice-president; the Bristol Jupiter aero engine, cars, buses, lorries and a replica of Concorde's flight deck. For families there is the Zoo and the Downs Park, a safe place for young children to play in and an ideal picnic spot.
