The site revolves around the central coarse fishing lake stocked with good sized Carp, Perch, Tench, Rudd and Roach.

- Homestead Lake Country Park is situated in the heart of the Tendring District also known as the Essex Sunshine Coast - one of the sunniest, driest areas of the United Kingdom with some of the safest, sandiest beaches in the land. Thousands of holidaymakers have been re-discovering the delights of the traditional English seaside holiday with the added benefit of a Mediterranean style climate!
As well as miles of clean, soft, sandy beaches to explore, the Essex Sunshine Coast has a wide variety of other delights to offer its many visitors. - Directions
- From the A12, take the A120 towards Harwich and then the A133 towards Weeley and Clacton. Then take the B1033 towards Walton. Go past the second roundabout and the site entrance is ¼ on the left hand side.
From London and the M25, take the A12. Pass the exits to Colchester West and Colchester Central, then join the A120 signposted towards Harwich.
From the Midlands and North, follow the A14 (signposted Felixstowe/Harwich) until you are south of Ipswich. Join the A12 signposted London. After approximately 10 miles, leave the A12 at the exit for Colchester and Harwich (A120).See also: MultiMap
