- Description
- Budemeadows is a family park catering for touring caravans, tents and motorhomes. We extend a
warm welcome to all our visitors and guests, and hope that your stay will be most enjoyable. Our
personal aim is to make your visit both memorable and pleasant so you will want to return, year after
year. Locally you have a wonderful coastline and countryside to explore. We are in Cornwall but also in a great location for the main attractions of North Devon. The Eden Project is just an hour away or maybe you fancy a voyage to remote Lundy Island.

* Grumpy Petes Bar, the shop and swimming pool open mid and high season. - Other facilities
- Budemeadows boasts a heated outdoor pool* surrounded by an
enclosed grass area provided with sun loungers. The pool is heated
and kept at around 28°C and the adjacent toddlers pool is usually
warmer still.
The site shop* stocks a range of groceries, sweets, ice creams, toys
and camping equipment.
Grumpy Pete’s Bar* provides a sheltered nook for a refreshing drink,
which many of our guests have said adds to the continental feel of the
park as a whole. As well as wines, spirits and a range of local beers
the bar serves tea, freshly ground Italian coffee and our famed hot
chocolate (with or without cream and marshmallows). If you are feeling
peckish we bake cookies most mornings in high season and the
occasional batch of muffins. There is also a range of board games
available for use in the bar, but don’t get the Monopoly out unless you
are ready for a long session.
The pitches are set out in small groups separated by hedges and fences
so you won’t find yourself pitched in a row in a field. The borders of
the park are hedged with small trees, big enough to provide some
shelter but not so large as to hide the views over open fields to the East
and towards Bude to the North.
Aside from the beaches at Widemouth Bay and Bude there are
numerous attractions in the area and a range of tourist leaflets is
maintained in our information center which is open 24 hours a day.
Local places to visit include Tintagel, the site of King Arthurs castle, the
picturesque village of Port Isacc, where the TV series Doc Martin is
filmed and, a little further down the road, Padstow with its harbour and
the location of celebrity chef Rick Stein’s restaurant.
To the North several of Devon’s key attractions are within easy reach:
The Milky Way, The Big Sheep and Clovelly are all less than 30 miles
away and the Cornwall Crealy adventure park is near Padstow to the
South.
The local beaches are noted for their surf. There are several surf shops
where boards and wetsuits can be hired and surf schools where you
can learn to surf. If your balance isn’t up to a full surfboard then body
boarding is an easier alternative and catching a wave is fun for all.
