- Description
- Set in 100 acres of rolling Anglesey farm land, Dronwy is a small secluded site of only 25 caravans.
With it's small size and private location it feels more like a peaceful rural community than a 'typical' caravan site.
If you're looking for peace and quiet in beautiful surroundings, Dronwy is the place for you.A haven of peace and quiet, Dronwy Caravan Park is set in the grounds of an historic Grade II listed farmhouse and is surrounded by 100 acres of rolling farmland and mature woodlands.
We are a small secluded park with only 25 caravans at present. Whilst the park has been here for some 40 years it has recently been extensively renovated and re-fitted. It now boasts individually metered mains gas and electricity to all of its caravans.
A key feature of our site is that it has been carefully designed and laid out with your peace and privacy in mind. Our plots are unusually widely spaced and our decks do not directly overlook each other. This all adds up to a more relaxing atmosphere.
Our truly unique feature though is that we do not sell caravans to families with young children. This means that you can relax out on your decking knowing that ball games, cycling and noise will not be a problem to you.
Grandchildren are welcome, but must be kept on a tight leash!
Well behaved dogs are welcome, but must be kept under control at all times and use the area provided for them
Around the Site
Being surrounded by fields and mature woodlands a wide variety of wildlife can be seen daily. These include Pheasants, Buzzards, Woodpeckers and if you are really lucky one of the Barn Owls patrolling the fields.
We also have our two resident Peacocks who can often be seen strutting around the site in the hope of being fed!
Away from the site Anglesey has much to ineterest the keen bird or wildlife spotter, boasting thriving colonies of Peregrine Falcon, Chough and Ravens. It's cliffs and beaches are a magnet for dolphin and seal watchers in the Summer. - Other facilities
- Caravans & Static Caravan Plots For Sale.
- Tourist Attractions
- Our local tourist board describe Anglesey as 'The Island of Choice', and it's justified! The moment you drive across one of our majestic bridges is the moment you discover the real jewel in Wales' crown. Môn Mam Cymru - Anglesey, The Mother of Wales.
Whatever your interest, our island will almost certainly cater for you. Keen golfers will love its courses, keen anglers its sea fishing, walkers its coastal paths and sleepy byways.
If all that sounds a little too energetic and it's quiet beach you're after, we're surrounded by a dazzling array of award-winning clean, safe beaches, and if you want peace and solitude you can always discover a rocky cove all to yourself, ideal for relaxing with a good book.
The island also has a wealth of history. The daunting castle and gaol of Beaumaris are a must-see and the drama and colour of Parys Mountain, 'The Copper Kingdom' are always awe-inspiring. There's also a much older Anglesey, an island of enigmatic standing stones, ancient villages and mysterious burial chambers, two defininitely to see are the superb Bryn Celli Ddu and the tranquility of the iron age village at Din Lligwy.
