- Description
- A pebble's throw from beautiful beaches, this 4* David Bellamy Award winning park provides a peaceful and natural environment in which to spend a holiday.
Designated a Site of Special Scientific Interest the dunes which separate the park from the beach provide a haven for wildlife and a play area for children managed in an environmentally responsible way.
From the top of the dunes the National Trust owned Gwithian Beach is a stunning stretch of golden sand perfect for walking, sand surfing rock pooling and other beach pursuits. The sea provides excellent surfing conditions with the backdrop of Godrevy Lighthouse creating a spectacular setting.
At Godrevy Point, seals can be spotted from the cliff top and sunsets make this the perfect spot for an evening picnic.
The park itself provides luxury Holiday Homes to buy or hire as well as fully serviced pitches for Tourers and pitches for Tents. All facilities on this level, compact park are accessible to the physically impaired and a fully accessible Holiday Home is available for hire to such visitors.
The shop, reception and laundry are open daily to provide guests with the essentials for a relaxing and enjoyable holiday. A cafe and take-away are to be opened in 2008 and the Duneside Lounge is a neighbouring bar where big sofas, board games and a laid-back beach vibe provide a great place to unwind.
The park has earned a Gold David Bellamy Award for its' provision of recycling facilities, low energy lighting and extensive, nature attracting planting. Local business and local transport are supported here and the coast can be explored on a bus which leaves from reception several times daily. Buses to St Ives can also be taken from reception and rail links can be accessed within 10km of the park. A car-free holiday is a possibility at Atlantic Coast Caravan Park, minimising the holiday-maker's carbon footprint should they wish to do so.
The manager's of this park wish to provide environmentally responsible holidays which are accessible to all in a beautifully unspoilt location. This makes a holiday at Atlantic Coast Holiday Park special. - Tourist Attractions
