- The Wye Valley and Forest of Dean are rich in flora and fauna whether walking driving or canoeing. See the peregrine falcons flying over Yat Rock, buzzards soaring on thermals, kingfishers, herons, salmon jumping and even otters have recently been sighted.
Within walking distance from the park is a good pub and restaurant in the village of Goodrich. Near bye Riverside Inns, river trips, and ferries across the river Wye at Symonds yat East and West
Fishing available on site.
Canoe hire bookings taken on site.
Site must be vacated by 11.30am on day of departure unless arranged otherwise.
An additional afternoon stay on departure day is charged at £5.00 per pitch.
The site is open this year only (2008) from June 1st until October 31st inclusive. Otherwise in future from mid March until end October inclusive
Peak season is July-end September
Site location is a quarter mile off A40 sign posted Hereford A4137 and we are in the village of Marstow.

- We are situated 5 miles from the market town of Monmouth and 6 miles from the historic town of Ross-on-Wye. The small village of Whitchurch is 5 minute car journey away where you will find a general store and post office.
The Villages of Symonds Yat East and West are nearby where you will find river side pubs/restaurants, River cruises on the river Wye, The amazeing hedge puzzle and butterfly zoo in Symonds Yat West, Canoe hire and - Directions
- FROM THE M5: take J8 the M50 which leads to the A40 heading towards Monmouth. At the end of the M50 go over 3 islands staying on the A40 for approx 8 miles in total. You will go throgh the village of Pencraig 50mph speed limit and approx after 2 miles there is a disused Little Chef on the left hand side and on the right of the A40 you will see an American Diner (Highway Star). Take the next turning signposted Symonds Yat East and Hereford A4137, come back on yourself over the bridge and head up the A4137 towards Hereford. After 1 mile you will see a sign on the right for the village of Marstow and we are located on the right over the hump back bridge which spans the river Garron.
FROM MONMOUTH: take the A40 out of Monmouth heading towards Ross-on-Wye, go up and over long hill, passing the BP garage on your left. Stay on the A40 for approx 1 mile and take the turning for Hereford A4137, head up the hill after 1 mile you will see a sign on the right for the village of Marstow and we are located on the right over the hump back bridge which spans the river Garron.See also: MultiMap
