- The site is a green oasis screened from the surrounding countryside by trees, yet within a mile of the Mi; ideally situated to use as a base to explore London. Buses to Victoria pass the site, or take the train from Hemel, or the tube from Stanmore. Nearer to home the town offers a playground, paddling pool, bowling green and crazy golf. Within 2 miles there's a dry ski slope and a comprehensive leisure complex which boasts a waterworid of flumes and rides, an ice rink with a volcano, a cinema complex, ten pin and indoor bowling and two nightdubs. The historic old town centre holds a general market on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays as well as a craft market on Monday and antiques on Wedesday.
