Pandy Caravan Club Site
- Description
- The river Honddu runs on the western boundary, and the majestic Skirrid rises in full view of the site, which is level, green and scattered with mature trees. Abergavenny has a fine castle and market days on Tuesday & Friday. Walkers will be delighted to try out the Offa's Dyke Path, which runs on the border between England and Wales and will give you a good feel for the splendid countryside. There are many other walks, guided or unguided (the Brecon Beacons National Park produces a useful list), and for those who like a walk with a purpose in the evening, there are no fewer than eight pubs in the vicinity, with The Old Pandy Hotel a mere 5oyds stroll away. The area is littered with historical buildings which speak of the unsettled and sometimes battle-tom history of the borders, yet there are religious houses too, which have settled in the peace of the countryside.
