New England Bay Caravan Club Site
This site on the edge of Luce Bay is carefully landscaped into seven intimate pitching area with sea views. There is direct access from the site to a safe, clean and sandy beach which is ideal for sailing, watersports and sea angling. An ideal base for exploring the Forests and Rhins of Galloway, an unspoilt corner of Scotland. For the naturalist the area has a wealth of wild flowers and bird life. The sporting enthusiast is also well catered for with golf courses, green bowling, pony trekking and a swimming pool and sports centre in the vicinity.27 May 2008 - greengairs from scotland wrote

A superb touring park in one of the most tranquil parts of Scotland. You get what you would expect from a Caravan Club site. Quiet , relaxing and easy going. Two immaculately clean shower blocks are maybe not enough for a site this size ,but never the less, they were well maintained to the highest standard. The boiler was playing up when we were in residence but still managed to produce adeqate amounts of hot water for a showers, etc.
The park is well laid out in seven intimate pitching areas.Ours was on the second row from the sea and our views were restricted by gorse and sand dunes but we could still hear the waves. Each pitch is spacious with plenty of room for even the biggest awning. There is a stipulated distance of six meters between every pitch.
It is an excellent base for touring the area . Port Patrick and Port Logan are gems that must be visited and The Mull of Galloway lighthouse boasts marvelous views accross to The Isle of Man and Cumbria. Stranraer is a twenty minute drive away and you have a choice of Tesco and Morrisons for provisions and "cheaper "petrol.
Our dog Molly especially enjoyed the beach and was always vigilant in ensuring that we cleaned up after her.
We would have no hesitation in reccomending this site to family and friends.
Haste ye back!
