- Tourist Attractions
- Situated on the North Kent Coast, part of the Garden of England with Whitstable and Herne Bay both only a few miles away. Herne Bay has attractive seafront gardens with a distinctive clock tower and central bandstand which holds regular free concerts. The beach holds a blue flag. Whitstable is a working harbour with fresh fish and seafood market. The town's famous oysters can be sampled from several restaurants. Charming shops offer local art and crafts. Only a few miles inland is Canterbury, a city which dates back to medieval times with many buildings and streets still remaining, giving a fascinating view of past times. Bel Harry Tower, 500 years old, stands over one of the world's greatest cathedrals, Mother church of the Anglican faith. These are just a few of the attractions in Kent's heritage country, a feast of things to do
