Description
"A walled garden on Scotland's west coast"
Our Oban Club Site is in a beautiful walled garden – about 13 miles from the town of the same name. Behind the panelled gates, the sheltered site is next to Sutherland’s Grove.

Sutherland’s Grove is crossed by colour-coded walks and cycle paths. The town of Oban is to the south. Take a ferry to one of the Western Isles. Tobermory on the Isle of Mull appears as Balamory in the CBeebies programme for young children. Seals, cormorants and even stags can be seen on the hillsides from a cruise on the sea loch, Etive. Scotland’s deepest cave, Uamh Nan Claig-Ionn (meaning “Cave of the Skulls”) is at Appin. Dunnstaffnage Castle overlooks the Bay. There are walks in the area, though the gatehouse is reserved for the Captain of Dunnstaffnage. The Scottish Sealife Centre is fewer than three minutes drive from Site. A busy rescue centre for seals, it also has an otter creek. Kintaline Farm Plant and Poultry Centre breeds rare poultry. It is home to an increasing range of herbs and a watermill under restoration. A causeway crosses to the exclusive Isle of Eriska. Benderloch is near the Site. It has a fuel station, camping and caravan accessory shop and a general store. It is also the start point for many walks in the forest. On site cosy log cabin bar located just outside walled garden , with meals available, (operated by the Club). Woodland walks from this site.
