Kippford Holiday Park

***** (5.0/5.0)

Just a 15 minute stroll from the holiday park is the seaside village of Kippford where you’ll find two pubs (both serving excellent food), a tearoom, yacht club, 9-hole golf course, pottery, art & gift shop and shingle beach with fantastic views across the Solway Firth. The Holiday Park itself is only 300m from the Dalbeattie 7Stanes mountain bike route and close to some beautiful forest and coastal walks.

We offer a wide range of touring and tent pitches as well as self catering luxury lodges, static caravans and bungalows. Many lodges have their own private hot tubs and all caravans and lodges have large verandas with patio seating to make the best use of the wonderful views across the Galloway countryside. The majority of our touring pitches have electric hook-ups and are divided into groups with screening between them. All our pitches are level and spacious. We also have several super pitches available with waste and fresh water facilities.

On-site is a heated toilet block with free hot showers and baby changing facilities, a laundry room and a shop (that's open most of the year).

The site has an 8000 year old bluebell woodland and is involved in a Red Squirrel breeding programme. It also has many viewing points that give great views over the estuary of the River Urr which leads out to sea.

stayed for 1 night as we were heading for the ferry home next day. The park is charming and full of character. We were in a motorhome and the pitch was quite small but as it was quiet we got parked ok but could be tricky enough when busy as there wasn't much room to manoeuvre. The pitch was private with whin bushes providing both shelter and privacy. The wildlife seems well established with rabbits, birds, red squirrels and during our walk in the woods we heard woodpeckers. The toilet block was quaint and clean. The village is 10mins. walk and is pretty with hotel, pub and shop. Everyone we met was friendly and welcoming. Would definitely stay again. A lot of thought has gone into making this a truly beautiful park.

My wife and I are fairly new to caravaning having only got our caravan last year. We have attended a few sites and we both agree that Kippford Holiday park is the best by far we have been to. The showers are superb, the pitches are excellent and there is a well stocked shop on site. The park staff were very friendly and accomodating. The surrounding area allows plenty of variety for days out. We will certainly be going back again
