The Glencoe and North Lorn Folk Museum is the only thatched building in the area.
Take a ferry across Loch Linnhe from Corran to Ardgour, part of the old trade route, the ‘Road to the Isles’.
The West Highland Way passes within nine miles of the site. There are many other low and high-level walks to explore some of Europe’s finest scenery.
Fort William is home to The Jacobite steam train, which travels through dramatic and beautiful scenery. The route is known as one of the greatest railway journeys in the world.
Many films and TV programmes use locations in the area, from Harry Potter to Kidnapped.
