The perfect base for exploring the Highlands, our Club Site at Dingwall is the sort of place you’ll want to stay and relax a while. You can also leave the car behind and take the train to see some of Scotland’s most beautiful scenery. Please note, no participating dogs are allowed on the site during the Whippet Derby.
Tourist Attractions
Trains leaving from Dingwall – just half a mile away – follow beautiful routes to Kyle of Lochalsh or Thurso and Wick. If you prefer to walk, Dingwall Heritage Trail for walkers passes the site and goes along the River Peffery to a picnic area on the Cromarty Firth.
There are other beautiful trails in the area, including a route up Fyrish Hill, while nearby Ben Wyvis is a National Nature Reserve and home to deer, pine marten and the golden eagle.
Loch Ness, home to an even rarer beast, is half an hour’s drive away, where you can explore the Exhibition Centre of take a cruise in search of the elusive “Nessie”. Day trips to the Orkney Islands are available from nearby Inverness.
