- "A peaceful haven in the Scottish Borders"
If you are looking for a quiet, sheltered haven, Jedburgh is the perfect site. More than just an overnight stop on the way to or from Scotland, it’s a lovely place to stay to explore the history and countryside of the Scottish Borders. - Tourist Attractions
- The town of Jedburgh is around a mile’s walk from the site and features a two-mile historic Town Trail taking in a variety of attractions including Jedburgh Castle Jail, Queen Mary’s House (both now museums), Bonnie Prince Charlie’s House and the Friary.
Other local walks include St Cuthbert’s Way and the Borders Abbey Way, which both pass very close to the site.
Harestanes Countryside Visitor Centre offers nature-based activities for children, while further afield you can enjoy the beautiful views of the River Teviot and countryside at Monteviot House Garden. Jedforest Deer and Farm Park is home to Jedforest Falconry, where visitors can handle owls under supervision.
