- Description
- "Beautifully located between the Firth and the hills"
On the shore of a half-moon bay on the Moray Firth, our Club Site at Rosemarkie has the hills and woodland behind. A short walk away is the lighthouse – the perfect place to watch the famous dolphins in the Firth when the tide is on the turn. - Tourist Attractions
- The nearby village of Rosemarkie is famous for its Pictish stones, housed in the Groam House Museum, and also has shops, pubs and a community-run Beach Cafe, which opens during the summer. The ruins of Fortrose Cathedral are south of the site, while you can enjoy shops, galleries, a cathedral and the Victorian Market in nearby Inverness.
Animal lovers can take a boat from Avoch harbour or Cromarty to see dolphins visit Munlochy Bay to spot wading birds, ducks and migratory birds, or feed ducks, geese and swans at Black Isle Wildlife and Country Park.
